Adding a midfielder remains Liverpool’s priority this summer and Jürgen Klopp will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming months.

Liverpool have built a reputation for recruiting young talent, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.

The report claims that Liverpool manager has extensively scouted Mario Lemina and is considering a move for the midfielder.

Mario Lemina has the talent to play many roles in midfield.

According to The Sun (via L’Equipe and France Football), “Kop fans have made public appeals for the club to sign the 24-year-old central midfielder. And Anfield boss Jurgen Klopp is understood to be considering a close-season bid for the former Lorient and Marseille ace. The Reds considered signing Lemina from Marseille in 2015 before he went to Juventus instead. Reports in respected French sources L’Equipe and France Football claim Lemina has been lined up for a move to Merseyside.”

Southampton are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the midfielder, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.

Will Mario Lemina be a Liverpool player soon? Only time will tell. Thanks to his great displays, he’ll be at a much bigger club than Southampton this time next year.
