Lazio in advanced talks to bring Genoa winger Diego Laxalt

Lazio appear to have taken a step forward in their pursuit of Diego Laxalt.

According to a report from Football Italia, Lazio are in advanced talks to bring Genoa winger Diego Laxalt.

The Uruguay international was signed by Genoa in July 2016 from Internazionale for a fee of 5.8 million euros. The 25-year-old has a contract until 2022 with the club.

Laxalt has played 117 times for Genoa since signing from Internazionale, scoring 8 goals and creating 12 assists in that time.

He’s incredibly experienced for a 25-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.

Diego Laxalt has represented Uruguay at Under-20 level, winning 13 caps and scoring one goal, before making his senior international debut in October 2016. As a member of Uruguay national football team, Laxalt won five caps.
