Inter preparing move for Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi

Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi has emerged as a surprise target for Inter Milan ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media (Corriere dello Sport), Inter Milan are preparing move for Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi.

The France international was signed by Sevilla in July 2015 from Stoke City for a fee of 8 million euros. The 28-year-old has a valid contract with Sevilla until June 2020.

Since his arrival from Stoke City, Steven N’Zonzi has scored 7 goals and provided 5 assists in 92 games for Sevilla in all competitions.

The France international has been in outstanding form for Sevilla this season.

Steven N’Zonzi has represented France at Under-21 level, winning 6 caps.

Adding a midfielder remains Inter Milan’s top priority this summer and Luciano Spalletti will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming days.

The France international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of midfield player Luciano Spalletti wants to target in the summer transfer window.

Steven N’Zonzi has a release clause in his contract which stands at 40 million euros which would need to be met in full before Sevilla would allow him to leave the club this summer.

According to the report in Italian Media, Inter are ready to meet that valuation and activate the France international release clause.

Steven N’Zonzi would reportedly be interested in a move this summer, but if Inter Milan do want him, they will have to beat those other interested clubs to his signature.
