Independiente sign Torino left-back Gaston Silva
Independiente appear to have a genuine interest in signing Torino left-back Gaston Silva this summer.
According to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media (Football Italia), Independiente have signed Torino left-back Gaston Silva.
The Uruguay international has joined Torino from Defensor Sporting for a fee in the region of 2.4 million euros in July 2014. In August 2016, Gaston Silva was sent to Granada on a season-long loan.
Gaston Silva made 23 appearances across all competitions for Granada.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best left-backs in Uruguay.
Gaston Silva has represented Uruguay at Under-17, Under-20 and Under-23 level, winning 29 caps and scoring 4 goals, before making his senior international debut in October 2014. As a member of Uruguay national football team, Gaston Silva has won 13 caps.
Ariel Holan has wanted to sign a new left-back this summer and Gaston Silva was one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He is a long term admirer of Gaston Silva and believes he can get the most out of the Uruguay international.

According to the report in Italian Media, Independiente have announced the signing of left-back Gaston Silva from Torino. The Argentine club have paid around 1.4 million euros for Gaston and signed him on a four-year contract.
