Henan Jianye appear to have taken a step forward in their pursuit of Juan Cala.
The Spain international joined Getafe from Granada on a free transfer in July 2015. His contract expires in the summer of 2018.
Juan Cala has played 77 times for Getafe since signing from Granada, scoring six goals and creating two assists in that time. Cala has represented Spain at Under-19 level, winning one cap.
The defender has just few months remaining on his contract and Getafe may consider a deal to avoid losing him for nothing in the summer.
Dragan Talajić is looking to shore up his defensive options and Getafe’s Juan Cala happens to be a target.
The report claims that Henan Jianye manager has extensively scouted Juan Cala and is considering a move for the defender.
According to Football Espana (via Diario AS and Cadena Cope), ” Getafe defender Juan Cala is set to join Chinese Super League club Henan Jianye in a deal worth 1.5 million euros. Cala’s nomadic career began at Sevilla and has also included loan spells at Cartagena and Granada. The defender’s contract at Getafe was set to expire in the summer and the club gave their blessing for his departure according to numerous reports in Diario AS, Cadena Cope and others.”

A move away from Getafe will not be only the best move for Cala, but also for the club.
The 28-year-old would be a very good addition for Henan Jianye and they can afford him as well.
