Crystal Palace join the hunt for Fulham full-back Ryan Fredericks

Crystal Palace need to strengthen their defense in the summer.

The reports in England suggested that Crystal Palace have joined the hunt for Fulham full-back Ryan Fredericks.

The 25-year-old has been subject to interest from various English clubs.

The England international joined Fulham from Bristol City for a fee in the region of 250,000 euros in August 2015. His contract expires in the summer of 2018.

Since his arrival from Bristol City, Fredericks has provided 16 assists in 109 games for Fulham, including nine assists in 43 games in all competitions this season.

He’s incredibly experienced for a 25-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.

Ryan Fredericks has represented England at Under-19 level, winning one cap.

There has been no movement on Fredericks agreeing a contract extension at Fulham, and he will be on the radar of many English clubs during the summer.

Roy Hodgson is looking to shore up his defensive options and Fulham’s Ryan Fredericks happens to be a target.

The report claims that Crystal Palace manager has extensively scouted Fredericks and is considering a move for the full-back.

Crystal Palace will be in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.

According to The Sun, “Roy Hodgson has joined the race for Fulham full-back Ryan Fredericks. The Crystal Palace boss is eyeing the 25-year-old as Joel Ward has not agreed a new contract and could leave for free this summer. Fredericks is also on a Bosman and has attracted interest after putting Fulham on the promotion trail in the Championship. West Ham have watched the former Tottenham right-back and there has also been interest from Arsenal.”
