Bayern Munich target Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez

According to a report from Calciomercato, Bayern Munich are targeting Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez.

The 27-year-old has three years left on his current contract which expires in 2021.

Vazquez has scored 16 goals in 140 games for Real Madrid since joining the club.

As a member of Spain national football team, Lucas Vazquez won nine caps.

His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Bayern Munich.

Niko Kovac is looking to shore up his attacking options and Real Madrid’s Lucas Vazquez happens to be a target. He is a long term admirer of Vazquez and believes he can get the most out of the Spain international.

Bayern Munich are desperate to make an impact in the winter transfer window.

According to Calciomercato, “Bayern want to find a replacement for Robben and Ribery, and have a rather surprising name on their list. With both Munich wingers ageing, someone like Vazquez would be a welcome addition to a club that has added fellow Liga stars Javi Martinez and Juan Bernat, as well as Thiago Alcantara in recent years.”

However, there’s one slight problem with this, Real Madrid still need Lucas Vazquez. He may not be Real Madrid’s first-choice winger, but he is an excellent back-up.

Real Madrid would be wise to keep the Spain international, but if they do let him go expect it to be for a hefty sum.

Bayern Munich fans would certainly love to see Vazquez arrive at the club this winter.

How strong that interest is and whether Bayern Munich will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
