Atletico Madrid reach agreement to sign Chelsea striker Diego Costa

Atletico Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for Diego Costa over the course of the transfer window.

According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish Media (AS), Atletico Madrid have reached agreement to sign Chelsea striker Diego Costa.

The Spain international has joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid for a fee in the region of 38 million euros in July 2014.

Diego Costa made 120 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea, scoring 58 goals and supplying 24 assists in return.

The Spain international has been in fantastic form for Chelsea last season.

Atletico Madrid will pay 45 million euros with a potential further 10 million euros in add ons to return the Spanish international to their ranks. The Spanish giants will not pay the transfer value until both Diego Costa and Chelsea have resolved their differences.
