Arsenal join the hunt for Sevilla star

Arsenal are reportedly one of many clubs keeping tabs on France international Steven N’Zonzi.

According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Arsenal joined the hunt for Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi.

The France international has joined Sevilla from Stoke City for a fee in the region of 8.4 million euros in July 2015. The 28-year-old has a valid contract with Sevilla until June 2020.

Steven N’Zonzi has scored 7 goals in 108 games for Sevilla since joining the club in 2015.

N’Zonzi has represented France at Under-21 level, winning 6 caps, before making his senior international debut in November 2017. As a member of France national football team, Steven N’Zonzi has won two caps.

Steven N’Zonzi is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by Sevilla this winter and the list of suitors in the France international continues to grow.

The report details that Arsene Wenger feels his midfield currently lacks some bite and that he could strengthen when the transfer window re-opens.

The France international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of midfield player Arsene Wenger wants to target in the winter transfer window.

Arsene Wenger is a long term admirer of Steven N’Zonzi and believes he can get the most out of the France international.

Arsenal will be desperate to make an impact in winter transfer window.

The 28-year-old is certainly a player that would strengthen the current Arsenal squad and would be a good buy in January.

According to the report in British media, the France international is ready to quit the club after reacting angrily to being subbed off during the 3-3 draw with Liverpool in the Champions League. He could be tempted by a move back to the Premier League, where he played with Blackburn and Stoke. Arsenal were linked in the summer and could be tempted to pay his in the region of 40 million euros release clause.

N’Zonzi is also being watched by Everton and Juventus.
