AC Milan linked with a move for Roma striker Edin Dzeko

According to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media, AC Milan are linked with a move for Roma striker Edin Dzeko.

Edin Dzeko has joined Roma from Manchester City for a fee in the region of 11 million euros in July 2016. The 31 year-old has a valid contract with Roma until June 2020.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international has scored 45 goals and provided 16 assists in 85 games for Roma, including 35 goals and provided 10 assists in 46 games in all competitions this season.

The 31-year-old is considered to be the best striker in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Edin Dzeko has represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 10 caps and scoring one goal, before making his senior international debut in June 2007. As a member of Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, Dzeko has won 84 caps and has scored 50 goals.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international is a player who has impressed many European clubs in the last two seasons, and it is understood that AC Milan manager Vincenzo Montella would prefer playing him as a forward.

Euro Football Rumours understood that Roma may need to sell one of their players to balance the books this summer and the Bosnia and Herzegovina international would be a good candidate for that. Roma valuate their striker in the region of 18 million euros.

How strong that interest is and whether AC Milan will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
