AC Milan and Inter Milan battle to sign Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno

AC Milan and Inter Milan will battle to sign Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno, according to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media.

Alberto Moreno has joined Liverpool from Sevilla for a fee in the region of 18 million euros in August 2014. The 24 year-old has a valid contract with Liverpool until the June 2019.

After his arrival from Sevilla, Alberto Moreno has scored three goals and provided eight assists in 106 games for Liverpool, including one assist in 15 games in all competition this season.

Alberto Moreno has also represented Spain at Under-21 level, winning nine caps. Since October 2013, Moreno is a member of Spain national football team, winning three caps.

The 24-year-old is considered to be one of the best left-backs in Spain.

The Spain international has been in poor form for Liverpool this season.

Alberto Moreno has been long term target of Vincenzo Montella and Stefano Pioli as the managers look to bolster their defensive options for the next season.

Euro Football Rumours understood that Liverpool is prepared to sell their left-back this summer. According to the rumours in English media Liverpool valuate Alberto Moreno in the region of 17.5 million euros.

How strong that interest is and whether AC Milan and Inter Milan will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
